We live in an age of speed and efficiency. It is almost like everything must be at our fingertips – the news, food, bus timings, dating partners, conversations with friends. The list goes on. There is little time to waste. Waiting is a bane. Pausing seems counterculture. We cease improving the moment we stop. At TEDxNTU 2022, we invite you to join our speakers in reconsidering what it means to “PAUSE TO PROGRESS”. From food waste and AI technology to humor and the visual arts, we ask whether and how there could be growth through an interim period of inactivity. Are you willing to pause now to reflect on this with us?
